Ballina Volunteer Michael Gaughan to be honoured

Ballina Volunteer Michael Gaughan, who died after 64 days on hunger strike in Parkhurst Prison, England on 3rd June 1974 will be commemorated on Saturday 3rd June in Ballina. The event begins at the grave of Michael Gaughan in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina. Following this will be a vigil outside Dunnes Stores, Ballina to honour Volunteer Bobby Sands. The main speaker will be Councillor Gerry Murray, Sinn Féin general election candidate in Mayo. All are welcome.
