Murray rules out Knock Airport for US military flights

Sinn Féin's general election candidate in Mayo, Councillor Gerry Murray has said that Ireland West Airport Knock should under no circumstances be used for US military flights. Cllr. Murray was responding to a statement by Ulick McEvaddy of Omega Air who said that the possibility of the Airport being used for military flights should not be ruled out. Read full article

The people have chosen Ernie O'Malley Road

The people of Castlebar have chosen Ernie O'Malley Road as the name for the town's newest thoroughfare. In a plebiscite organised by Castlebar Town Council, residents of Castlebar were invited to make suggestions on the naming of the new bridge in to Castle Street car park. Read full article
