Campbell argues against council's conference expenses

A proposal to find agreement on Castlebar Town Council's expenses for conferences was rejected by the majority of councillors at the council's budget meeting on Monday. Sinn Féin councillor Noel Campbell's proposal to divide the conference allocation of €30,000 between the nine councillors, leaving each councillor to decide how their share be spent, was supported by councillors Johnny Mee and Aidan Crowley with the remainder of the elected representatives voting against it.
