Speaking on Motion 104 and in particular the key role of the government to redistribute wealth and provide services through its taxation and spending. Let us be absolutely clear: This government and its incestuous relationship with its capitalist cronies in the Golden circle leaves us in no doubt of the absolute disregard they have for us. Thérèse Ruane, member of Castlebar Town Council, welcomes the proposed development for Main St. Castlebar. She also proposes that links should be made and supports sought from agencies such as Gnó Mhaigheo to further enhance this development. The pedestrianising of Main St. and Castle St. on a pilot basis as a start, would also be a very positive development for the town of Castlebar. Read full article
